Overview

Location Monitors are used to quickly assess if a location is down. LabTech looks for the router address and the last contact time of the last agent that checked in and reports the results to the Locations tab. If the last contact time of the agent that last checked in is greater than 10 minutes, then the location is going to display with a 'Fail' Status in red.  Once an agent in that 'failed' location comes back online, the Status will return to 'OK'.

Note NOTE: The Locations tab is controlled by the 'LT – Offline Locations*' internal monitor. To change any settings: Click Monitors > Internal and search for 'LT-Offline Locations* and double-click. Make the desired changes and click Save.

To access the Location Monitors:

From the Control Center, click on Monitors > Locations.

Excluding Locations

You can exclude locations from appearing on the Locations tab by using the 'ExcludedLocations' property by entering a comma-separated list of location IDs (Tools > Show IDs) in the Properties (Dashboard > Config > Configurations > Properties). For more in-depth information on how to add properties, please refer to the Properties documentation.
